Book Stack: Classics

Stack o’ Classics

Nineteeneightyfour by George Oorwell was a brilliant and scarily relevant read.

I’ve yet to read Dune by Frank Herbert and LOTR by JRR Tolkien but I’m going to at some point.

I picked up both The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and The Murders in the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allan Poe in a charity shop and I couldn’t resist the lovely covers! I’ll probably read them as they are quite short.

Earth Abides by George R Stewart is superb – there’s a reason it’s part of the SFmasterworks!

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is just a cult classic and you need to read it at least once in your life.

Snuck at the bottom is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath which I recently read and really liked – it’s worth reading just to get all the references to it in movies/tv!
