WWW Wednesday #2

Welcome to another edition of WWW Wednesday!

This weekly meme originated from Taking on a World of Words and is growing each week in the book blogging community, so yay for that!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am still reading The Girls by Emma Cline – I don’t know why this has taken me so long to read as it’s not a long book by any means. I’ve had a busy week and weekend so I’m blaming that! Also, this was an eARC so I like to have a physical book on the go too, which is A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab and I am LOVING this so far!

A Darker Shade final for Irene

What did you recently finish reading?

I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t managed to finish a book this week. 😦 I’ve had work events, birthday celebrations and then just life in general so it’s been quite hectic! I need to have a reading holiday – as in, I book some holiday time and just sit at home to read! I’ve done this before and it’s great 🙂

So anyway, the last book I finished was All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have SO many eARCs on my Netgalley shelf and I really need to get through them and write a review before they come out. I’m making out like having 30+ books ARCs to read is a bad thing! It’s great (obviously), I just need to start focusing on them more. Oh, I’m also waiting for payday so I can get a tablet or e-reader and then I can read them on the go too.

I think my next read is going to be The Butterfly Garden, which has been out since 1st June but sounds creepy and right up my weirdo alley!

  1. I think I have around 25 books on my NetGalley shelf at the moment unfortunately I’m so behind that around 20 have now been released and are archived. I am determined though that I will get to them 🙂

    • Yeah I realised that I should have been downloaded them as soon as they came onto my shelf and then if they are archived, I would have them already. It seems as though SO many good books are coming out recently and it’s getting harder to keep up!

  4. It’s always difficult when a hectic week stops you from reading! It can be so frustrating!
I hope you continue to enjoy ADSOM! I have it on my TBR and hope to get to it soon because I keep hearing such great things about it 🙂
Hope you find more time to read this week 🙂
    Happy Reading ❤

  5. Shades Of Magic is probably one of my all time favorite fantasy series, so I’m glad to hear you are enjoying them! And I guess the fear of ARC overload is the main reason I don’t have a Netgalley account yet haha. 😉 I hope you’ll find time to read this week!

    Happy reading! Here’s my WWW.

    • Yes I am so thrilled I started it! My advice if you do get a Netgalley account would be to request one at a time and then you know you won’t be overloaded – although saying that, it’s like walking into a bookstore and only coming out with 1 book!!

      • Haha I know! I will probably end up signing up later this year anyway, because it’s getting harder and harder to resist. 😉 I will have to make a promise to myself to not overdo it though; something like a maximum of 5 pending requests and no more than 10 unread ARCs… Although even that sounds complicated with so many great books being published all the time.

  6. I love having my Kindle. I take it everywhere. Stuck in the drive thru line at the pharmacy? Pull it out and read 20 pages! Have to wait at the doctor’s office? Pull out the Kindle! I have too many books on my NetGalley shelf than I want to admit, and I definitely need to focus on them. Happy reading!
